SUMMARY:
Habilitation Technicians provide support and care to individuals with disabilities in community settings and day programs. They assist individuals in expressing their needs and achieving their goals as outlined in the Individual Support Plan.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Habilitation Technicians are expected to competently carry out each of their essential duties. As a prerequisite, candidates for this role ought to possess a high school diploma or GED, and have at least a year of experience working with individuals diagnosed with IDD/MI. Moreover, Habilitation Technicians must hold a valid driver's license, in addition to personal vehicle insurance coverage. To remain proficient in their job, Habilitation Technicians must undertake trainings and certifications, and maintain CPR and First Aid certification, Medication Administration (if administering medications), NCI certification, and other essential trainings as deemed necessary by their management.
